The Series 105 is a one kilowatt switch mode power supply with output voltages ranging from 500 Volts to 50 kilovolts. These units are fully enclosed and designed to mount in a standard 19" rack. These versatile, high efficiency power supplies feature constant voltage and constant current operation with automatic crossover. Output polarity is easily reversible on all models up to 30kV. 50kV unit must be ordered as fixed polarity, either positive or negative. Designed foremost for safety and reliability, all models include safety interlock circuit, soft start and power interrupt trip, as well as arc, short circuit and open circuit protection.Remote programming of the power supply output voltage and output current is included. Programming can be accomplished with a remote analog voltage or remote resistance. The external safety interlock and remote programming inputs and the monitoring and status outputs are conveniently accessible at the rear panel l/O connector.
The Series 105 has calibrated front panel controls for setting voltage and current. Dual 4½ digit LED front panel meters allow viewing of the output voltage and current. Front panel indicator lights provide control mode, polarity, and regulation mode operating information. A POWER ON/OFF switch, HIGH VOLTAGE ON/OFF switch and a HIGH VOLTAGE ON indicator complete the Series 105 front panel features.

For 500V through 5kV models polarity reversal is achieved by a screwdriver type switch located on the bottom of the unit.For 10kV through 30kV models polarity reversal is achieved by the reversal of an internal connector. The selected polarity is displayed by the front panel LED indicator.
For 50kV model the output is fixed polarity, either positive or negative (suffix P or N).

Features
Front Panel Meters:
Two 4½ digit LED front panel meters for reading output voltage and current. The meter accuracy is ±(0.25% of reading +0.25% of maximum +1 digit).
Front Panel Controls:
Independent precision 10-turn potentiometers for voltage and current control. The resolution of each control is 0.2% of maximum. Accuracy is +(0.25% of setting ±0.25% of maximum).
Remote Programming:
Independent 0 to +5 Volt inputs for 0 to maximum voltage and current outputs. Accuracy is ±(0.25% of setting +0.25% of maximum). The programming input impedance is 1 Megohm or greater.
Voltage Monitor:
0 to +5 Volts proportional to 0 to maximum output high voltage. Accuracy is ±(0.5% of reading + 0.1% of maximum). The monitor output impedance is 10 kilohms.
Current Monitor:
0 to +5 Volts proportional to 0 to maximum output current. Accuracy is ±(0.5% of reading + 0.25% of maximum). The monitor output impedance is 10 kilohms.
Interlock:
Remote interlock (CMOS compatible) disables (high), enables (low) the high voltage output. An external jumper is required to bypass this protection regardless of whether supply is operated in local or remote mode. Maximum open circuit voltage is +5vdc. Maximum current is 930,uA.
Protection:
Arc, short circuit and open circuit protection, self restoring.

Standard 15 pin "D', type connector for all remote control and monitor functions. The mating connector is provided.

Custom Models
The Series 105 power supply design can be economically and quickly modified to satisfy custom applications. Other output voltage and/or current ratings, custom control features, digital programming, or special mechanical constraints are some of the varied requirements which can be satisfied.Multi-output units combining the features of the Series 105 and other Bertan high voltage power supplies can be provided.
